The Reflector's Lunar Cycle: Your 28-Day Decision Process

How to use the moon's journey through the gates for major life decisions.

As a Reflector, you're deeply connected to the lunar cycle. The moon's 28-day journey through all 64 gates gives you access to every perspective before making major decisions.

Why 28 Days?

With all centers open, Reflectors sample and reflect the energies around them. The moon provides the only consistent activating force, touching each gate over the lunar month.

Tracking Your Lunar Cycle

1. Note when decisions arise: Mark the moon's position 2. Journal daily: How do you feel about this decision today? 3. Notice patterns: Which lunar transits bring clarity vs confusion? 4. Wait for the full cycle: Major decisions need the full 28 days

What to Track

The Wisdom of Waiting

When the 28 Days Feel Too Long

For smaller decisions, trust your sense of surprise and delight. If something genuinely surprises and delights you, it's often correct for you. ## Why Reflectors Wait 28 Days

A Reflector has no consistently defined centers. Your chart is coloured entirely by what is around you — the people, the place, and the transiting planets. Over a 28-day lunar cycle, the moon activates every gate in the bodygraph, which means that across one month you experience every possible version of yourself. Waiting a full cycle on a major decision is not indecision; it is sampling.

What Sampling Actually Looks Like

1. Name the decision on day one and write it down. 2. Talk it through with several different people across the month — not one confidant, several. 3. Note how the decision feels in different environments, not just on different days. 4. On day 28, read your notes. The consistent thread is your answer.

Environment Is Everything

For a Reflector, the single most consequential decision is where you live and who you spend time with, because you become the environment. A Reflector in the wrong town, workplace, or relationship does not merely feel uncomfortable — they experience a life that is not theirs. Changing the environment changes everything downstream.

Disappointment as a Signal

Disappointment is the Reflector not-self theme. It usually means one of two things: you decided too fast, or you are somewhere that does not let you be surprised. Surprise is your signature, and it only appears when you are in the right place with the right people, sampling life rather than being pressured by it.

Daily Practice

Being Rare

At roughly one percent of the population, Reflectors are constantly surrounded by people whose consistency they do not share. Most Reflector suffering comes from trying to be consistent to fit in. The gift runs the other way: you can read a room, a company, or a community more accurately than anyone in it, precisely because you take it all in.
