The seven authorities
- Emotional Authority — Ride the wave before you decide. Emotional Authority is the most common inner authority, found in approximately 50% of the population. If you have a defined Solar Plexus center, you have Emotional Authority. Your truth is found over time as you move through your emotional wave—from hope to pain and back again.
- Sacral Authority — Trust your gut response. Sacral Authority is exclusive to Generators and Manifesting Generators with an undefined Solar Plexus. Your Sacral center is a powerful motor that responds to life with sounds and sensations—a visceral 'uh-huh' (yes) or 'uhn-uh' (no). This response is immediate, primal, and deeply reliable.
- Splenic Authority — Trust the whisper of intuition. Splenic Authority is the oldest and most primal form of awareness. If you have a defined Spleen with an undefined Solar Plexus and Sacral centers, you have Splenic Authority. Your intuition speaks once, in the moment, as a quiet knowing that something is right or wrong for your survival and wellbeing.
- Ego/Heart Authority — What do I want? What's in it for me?. Ego Authority is rare, found only in Manifestors and Projectors with a defined Heart/Ego center connected to the Throat, and undefined Solar Plexus, Sacral, and Spleen centers. Your will power and desires are your guide—what you truly want and are willing to commit to is your truth.
- Self-Projected Authority — Speak to discover your truth. Self-Projected Authority is found only in Projectors with a defined G-Center connected directly to the Throat, with undefined Solar Plexus, Sacral, Spleen, and Heart centers. Your truth emerges through speaking and hearing yourself express your identity and direction.
- Mental/Environmental Authority — Let your environment inform your decisions. Mental (or Environmental) Authority is the rarest, found only in Projectors with no defined centers below the Throat. With no consistent inner authority, your clarity comes from your environment, the people around you, and what feels like the right place for you to be.
- Lunar Authority — Wait through the full moon cycle. Lunar Authority is exclusive to Reflectors, the rarest Human Design type. With no defined centers, you are deeply connected to the lunar cycle. Major decisions require waiting through an entire 28-day moon cycle, allowing you to experience how the decision feels through all the gate transits.
