How Gene Keys and Human Design Connect

Shared Foundation: The 64 Hexagrams

Both systems use the same 64 hexagrams of the I Ching as their core structure:

• Human Design calls them Gates (Gate 1, Gate 2, etc.)
• Gene Keys calls them Gene Keys (Gene Key 1, Gene Key 2, etc.)
• They correspond to the same positions in your chart
• Both map to the 64 codons of human DNA

The Profile Connection

Your Gene Keys profile is calculated from the same birth data as your Human Design chart:

• Your Life's Work Gene Key = your Conscious Sun gate in Human Design
• Your Evolution Gene Key = your Unconscious Sun gate
• Your Radiance Gene Key = your Conscious Earth gate
• Your Purpose Gene Key = your Unconscious Earth gate
